Salvation and disabilities

Aug 6, 2012 • By David Murray • 4 Comments

Can anyone point me to books, blog posts, sermons, articles, etc., that discuss the salvation of those with disabilities.

I’ve received a few of queries about this, and wondered if you could help me crowd-source any helpful resources. I’m looking for different perspectives.

The last time we crowd-sourced on miscarriage and the death of infants we produced a great list of resources. Let’s see what we can do with this even more challenging subject.

Desiring God ministries comes to mind because they have been promoting their upcoming conference on disability (http://www.desiringgod.org/events/regional-conferences/2012-minneapolis ).

I also checked their list of sermons/articles on disability (http://www.desiringgod.org/searches/disability?utf8=%E2%9C%93).

I’ve recently written a blog post re: John chapter 9 where Jesus heals the man born blind. Implications for all but (i pray) coming from the perspective particularly here of someone with a disability and their interaction with [and eventually salvation from] Jesus. Hope it may be helpful here.
