Wesley: I started using this with my daughter when she was about six and a half. She didn't get all the answers of course, but we go over the answers as a family once a week and she gradually got the hang of it.

Re the DE Cert in Systematic Theology, you'd be best to contact our Distance Education Director, Chris Engelsma, via this form: http://puritanseminary.org/distance-learning/

He knows the program best and is a good guide to new students.

Hope that goes well.

David -
i appreciate this content very much. Up until now, i have used children's Bible's ('Big Picture Story Bible' and 'Jesus Storybook Bible' are two great ones) and then talked through, asked questions around what we've read. Just this year, i have begun working through the Catechism for young children (based on the shorter catechism) where the kids have a question/answer/one verse to memorize about the answer, which has already shown great fruit. That said, i've been wondering about when it is appropriate to begin reading just from my 'grown up' bible and talking through the text - my girls are just turned 6 and 5 - so this may be a good entry point.

Beyond that, i have just discovered the school where you teach (and also this blog) and am considering doing the DE Cert. in Systematic Theology. Any tips you'd offer a prospective student?
 God's peace -
