He commanded that Christians be driven from Arabia as he was dying. Islam has done nothing but persecute Christians since its beginning. All commands for friendship with Christians and Jews were later abrogated by commands of constant warfare against Christians and Jews until we are made to pay jizya and are humiliated. Bat Yeor’s books describe these things very well. I also recommend Rodwell’s translation of the Koran; it’s free at Gutenburg.org.
