If we are expected to forgive a friend who has really put me down, psychologically, and I thought that I cannot forgive and it has also been seen as a weakness to forgive. A particular so called friend has put me down for at least 3 years and I decided to forgive him, but he plays on this as it appears that he also plays mind games. Should I totally forget about this person?

You are right forgiveness is key. Look at it like a road block in the road of your progress. it stops you from being able to function and it can really hurt. if you try and bury it it will come back. i had a friend experience this and he wrote about it here http://www.reallifeanswers.org/challenges-in-life/why-should-i-forgive/ i personally dont know if i could forgive that person

Hello Dr. Murray,

Can I please ask for a clarification?

In the case of lesser forgiveness, how is it possible not to avoid the other person and still be unreconciled?
What kind of a relationship should be expected in this case?

Thanks for your all your good work!
