In reading Mark Jones' book on Antinomianism, I came across a great quote from Richard Gaffin's book By Faith, Not By Sight (which I bought and plan to read!)

Gaffin writes:

"The gospel removes an absolute law-gospel antithesis in the life of the believer. How so? Briefly, apart from the gospel and outside of Christ, the law is my enemy and condemns me. Why? Because God is my enemy and condemns me. But with the gospel and in Christ, united to him by faith, the law is no longer my enemy but my friend. Why? Because now God is no longer my enemy but my friend, and the law, his will-- the law in its moral core, as reflective of his character and of concerns eternally inherent in his own person and so of what pleases him-- is now my friendly guide for life in fellowship with God"

- Richard B. Gaffin Jr., "By Faith, Not By Sight: Paul and the Order of Salvation" (Phillipsburg, N.J.: P&R Publishing, 2013), 117-118.

You write “by way of negation and abhorrence, ‘God forbid!’ Far be it from me or anyone else to think so! No! By no means! To find fault with the law would be to find fault with God. The law is not to be blamed. What is, then? for something is to be blamed.” and “that sin is the true cause of death. The commandment condemns, or is death to man, not of itself, but because of sin.”

Why do you put these two passages in quotes when they are not quotes, just something that you wrote?
