He may claim not to be lobbying for Christians to switch from Republican to Democrat, but he’s using Democrat talking points. While the Dems like to claim that the super rich vote GOP, the reverse is almost universally true. The super rich are already voting Democrat. So his “persuasive case” is a lie. I do agree that, as believers, we should not tie ourselves to one political party or another. Our hope is not in which party controls the government. But his arguments are disingenuous.

“We went into churches and synagogues, testifying about our lives and our families. We changed people’s hearts, not their laws.” This is a lie. They changed the laws through law-making court decisions. If the US Supreme court had not acted unconstitutionally in deciding DOMA was unconstitutional, lower courts would have been hard pressed to wiped off citizen-enacted state constitutional marriage requirements without any concern for state-rights. In addition, his claim that “Republican claim that you can build a Christian nation though politic is bogus,” is itself bogus. The Democrats controlled Congress 2007-2010 and two of those years 2009-2010 the Democrats also controlled the presidency; yet they had to lie and finagle to get one piece of major legislation passed. In 2011-2014 one man, Harry Reid, has refused to even allow the Senate to consider any major legislation from the people’s House and has allow the President to rule by fiat. Simply, this railing against Republicans is a red herring. Michaelson is our Sennacherib and he his attempting to get Christians to approve of his perverted lifestyle. I agree with your Hezekiah-like response to Michaelson’s letter.
