The blocks are mindsets/beliefs that focus on a too high bar of perfectionism. If a farmer only looked at the end in an October harvest for evidence of changes he would not water, weed and nurture corn at each tiny stage of the process in May, June, July, etc. To be a witness, to be more like Christ, to have no tempting thoughts, etc are hopeless perfections that keep a Believer frustrated and feeling hopeless. How long does it take a baby to become a teenager and then an adult? By setting some very small goals we can see tiny evidences of growth and change and celebrate each one.
