I have a question for you. You say above that “we are all sinners”. I would lovingly challenge that statement by saying that Christians are saints, not sinners. I realize this is a debated topic but I challenge people to look up the definition of a sinner in the old dictionaries, as well as the Greek and Hebrew. It means, “one who is enslaved to sin”. Even John MacArthur in his Study Bible says in commenting on James 4:8 that the term “sinner” is used only for unbelievers. I would encourage a thorough study of this topic and reexamination.
