How much do you really want to change your story. How much of your story do you really want to change. Jo reminds us in this episode that asking God to change us, may result in some painful chapters in order to write better chapters later.

Who’s the baddie in your story?

The other day I was leading a chapel at the local Christian school when I asked a bunch of 1-4 graders the names of baddies in various movies they’d watched. I was a bit taken aback by all the names – Venom, Voldemort, Darth Vader, Cruella De Ville, the grinch, the Joker. It went on and on, and because I’d never heard of them I wasn’t able to say if they were goodies or baddies. Lesson #1 “Don’t ask kids questions you don’t know the answers to.”

Any way, it proved my point that every movie has a baddie and a goodie. So I asked them who’s the goodie and the baddie in God’s Story.

Should I change jobs?

Today I met with a close friend who’s going through a vocational crisis. He has his own business, it’s in the trades, and it’s been going well since he started it a few years ago. But he’s had a run of disappointments making him question “Should I stick it out or change?

There are probably lots of people in similar positions and therefore I’ll share some of the advice I gave to him in the hope it might help others too. How do I know if I should stick it out or change jobs?
