Following on from yesterday’s video, Lessons from the Wrecker’s Yard, here’s an infographic on burnout. It’s one of the best and most helpful infographics I’ve seen.

SOME bad behavior can be blamed on ADHD.
But generally the bad behavior could be avoided if parents parented their children more carefully.
. . You take a child to a 2 hour movie. They have 20 minutes of attention span, yet the parent expects them to sit and behave for
2 hours. Get them up and walk them around every 20 minutes for
a few minutes. When the kids get hyper and starts to
annoy others, is it ADHD or is it poor parenting?. . You take
a child on a flight to visit Grandma. It’s an hour drive to the airport, two hours of check-in, and a 2 hour flight. An hour to get the baggage and the drive to Grandma’s.
By the time the kid gets on the plane they have a meltdown.
This is one of those situations where as a parent there is not so much
you can do to make the situation easier for your child.
There are some things you can do, but probably not enough.
    Blame the ADHD.
